Lights, Camera, FABA!
The Fredericksburg Area Builders Association (FABA) rolled out the red carpet—literally—for this year’s President’s Gala, and let me tell you, it was a night straight out of classic Hollywood!
Held at the Fredericksburg Convention Center, the event was packed with glitz, glamour, and a touch of Oscar-worthy excitement. Guests arrived in style, walking the red carpet while being “hounded” by the paparazzi (a.k.a. me with my camera, ready to capture the moment!). The decor was all about the movies, with Hollywood-themed touches everywhere you looked—including a life-sized cardboard Oscar statue gracing the stage.
And speaking of Oscars, the awards ceremony went full-on Academy Awards style! Winners were announced straight from shiny envelopes, adding a fun, dramatic flair to the night. The stunning awards themselves? Handcrafted by the talented students at the Spotsylvania Career and Tech Center, under the guidance of HBAV Teacher of the Year, Josiah Stinson. Seriously, these kids did an incredible job!
The evening also marked the induction of the new FABA board and board president, setting the stage (literally) for another year of leadership and innovation in the building industry.
This was my third year photographing the event, and once again, I had an absolute blast. From the elegant attire to the big award moments, every part of the night was pure magic. Until next time, keep shining, FABA!
